
SAPGui Installation Instructions

on how to find out what version of SAPGui is installed on the desktop, click here
If you already
have an older release of SAPGui on your machine, please go here for instructions on how to uninstall it
before proceeding.
You must have
approx 800mb of free space on your hard disk to download and install SAPGui.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Click on the Download SAPGui Link after step 6 below.
You will get the following screen

Make
sure the "Save the program to disk" button is on.
2.
You will receive a
window asking where you want to save the file. Press ENTER.
3.
SAPGui
will start downloading. Make sure that the “Close dialog box” is NOT
checked.

4. The download will take several minutes; then a
"Download complete" window should appear.


Click OPEN
5. The
files will be extracted. At the end of this process a box will display asking
you if you want to install SAPGui.

Click YES.
6.
If this is the first
time you have installed SAPGui on this desktop, you will be asked where you want to install it. This adds 3 additional screens. The first is a
Welcome screen. Click ‘Next’ the second screen is where you can specify the
drive. On most machines, accept the
default by pressing ‘Next’. You should only change this field if you do not
have enough space on your C drive for SAPGui.
The third screen notifies you that all the questions have been answered.
Click ‘Next’ to continue.
7. At the completion of this process, you
will be notified that the installation is complete
If you are prompted to restart your machine please complete all remaining steps, then restart your desktop machine.
8. Click on the Download SAP Logon INI Files Link after step 11 below.
You will get the following screen

Make sure the "Save the program to disk" button is on.
9. You will receive a window asking where you want to save the file. Press ENTER.
10. The download will run quickly; then a "Download complete" window should appear.


Click OPEN
11. The SAPGui INI files will be stored in the appropriate directory.
12. Press NEXT at the following screen

If prompted as to whether files should be
overwritten, answer “YES TO ALL”.
Please reboot your
machine now to pick up all changes.
