James Pinckney Alley (1885-1934)

Biography

Alley was the editorial cartoonist at the Memphis Commerical Appeal from 1916-1934. He was the author the of syndicated cartoon, Hambone's Meditations. A native of Bentob, Arkansas, Alley lived in Memphis until his death in 1934.
