Stephen V. Ash (b. 1948)
Biography
Ash is a native of California who earned his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees at the
University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He now lives in Knoxville, where he has taught at the
university since 1989. He has been the managing editor of the Journal of East Tennessee
History from 1993 to the present.
