Gladys H. Barr (1904-1976)

Biography

Barr received her LL.B. from Union in 1929 and worked as a lawyer from 1926-29. She was an editor and writer for the David Hutchinson Publishing Co. from 1969-76 and was a freelance writer and speaker. She was named Woman of the Year by the American Legion in 1950, and received the Tennessee Library Association Award in 1975.
